As an avid cyclist, I'm always looking for products that make my rides, especially the long ones, more enjoyable. At my age, I'm also concerned about the damage caused by the sun to my skin. I've started to notice brown spots on my face that weren't there a few years ago. I attribute those to the hours I spend in the sun on my bicycle.
I was absolutely thrilled to find Da Brim™ Cycling Helmet Visor. The visor fit easily on my cycling helmet and provides 360º shade. The best part about it is it has UPF sun protection of 50+. I finally found a product I can use on sunny days that not only protects the skin on my face, but my ears, neck and shoulders as well.
I have to admit, I was worried about riding with a visor on my helmet. I thought it would flop around when I picked up my speed or act as a parachute that would slow me down. It, it did neither. The Da Brim Cycling Visor was surprisingly stable. Though it is not recommended for use with a combined wind speed of over 25 miles per hour, or for performance cycling, it works great for long rides for somebody like me who rarely goes over 30 miles per hour. The only time I noticed any wind resistance on it was when I clocked myself going about 29 MPH. The resistance was much less than I imagined at that speed and even then, the brim did not flop up at all. Nor did it come off my helmet. The Da Brim fit tight. The straps keep the brim firmly in place. I did not have to stop at all during my 30 mile ride to adjust the visor.
At $36.95, I the Da Brim is well worth the investment. It is well made and sturdy. I am confident that it will last through many rides. At Da Brim you can find visors that will fit other sports helmets as well From ski helmets to climbing helmets, Da Brim is the outdoor enthusiasts friend. I was able to easily figure out how to put it on my helmet after reading the directions. However, I noticed a great video on the website that explains how to secure it to a helmet.
I am happy to recommend such a great innovative Made in U.S.A. product, especially one that allows me to spend more time enjoying the American landscape.

I live in the south. Where I ride my bike, it is hot and there is little shade from the sun. This is a great invention! I would definitely use it on the trail I ride.
